Viking raid warfare and tactics

Okay kiddo, so the Vikings were a group of people who lived a long time ago. They were very good at fighting and they liked to travel around in boats called longships. Sometimes they would travel to other lands and take things that didn't belong to them. This is called raiding.

When the Vikings went on a raid, they would try to surprise their enemies. They would sneak up on them and attack when they least expected it. They were really good at this because they were very fast and they could move quietly.

The Vikings also had special weapons that they used in battle. They had swords and axes that were very sharp, and they could use them to fight really well. They also wore special clothes that helped protect them from being hurt.

Sometimes, the Vikings would also use a tactic called the Shield Wall. This is when all the soldiers line up with their shields next to each other. The shields help protect them from arrows and other weapons. They would then move forward together as a group to attack their enemies.

Overall, the Vikings were really good at fighting and they had some really cool tactics and weapons. However, it's not nice to take things that don't belong to you, so we should always try to be respectful of other people's things.
