Viral vector

A viral vector is like a special kind of virus that scientists have changed so it can't make you sick. Scientists make them like this so the viral vector can carry special things called genes inside of it. They can take the genes to different cells in your body and make those cells do special things like produce protein. Scientists use them to help study diseases, create medicines that fight diseases, or to even treat diseases.
