Viroid

Oh hello there little buddy! So, have you ever heard of a virus? Well, a viroid is kinda like a virus, but it's much much smaller.

A viroid is a tiny particle that can infect plants. It's so small that scientists can't even see it with a regular microscope! It's made up of a single circular strand of RNA, which is like a code that tells cells what to do.

Viroids can cause a lot of damage to plants, like making the leaves turn yellow and die, or making the plant grow really weird. Some viroids can even affect the plant's ability to grow fruit or seeds, which is really important for farmers and gardeners.

Scientists are still studying viroids to figure out how they work and how we can protect plants from them. But for now, just remember that viroids are very tiny things that can make plants sick.
