A virtual economy is a made-up economy that exists only in a digital world, like inside a computer game or on the internet. Virtual economies are used in many games or websites to help people play games and have fun. With virtual economies, people can buy and sell virtual things like currency, weapons, and tools that they use in the game. They can also use the virtual money they earn in the game to buy more in-game items, like clothes or upgrades. A lot of virtual economies work a lot like a real economy - people buy and sell things and try to make money. It's just that it all happens in a digital world instead of a real one.
