ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Visual capture

Hey there kiddo, have you ever seen a really cool movie or played a video game where you felt like you were actually there in the story? That's kind of like visual capture!

See, our eyes are super special because they allow us to see all the things around us. But sometimes, our brain can get a little confused about what we're actually looking at. Visual capture is when our brain gets tricked into thinking that something we're seeing is actually happening in real life, even though it's just on a screen.

So, when you're playing your favorite game or watching your favorite show, your brain thinks that all the action is happening right in front of you, as if you were actually there! Cool, huh?
