Vitamin deficiency

Okay kiddo, so you know how you need to eat different kinds of food to stay healthy, right? Well, there are certain foods that have special things inside them called vitamins. These vitamins help your body grow and do all the things it needs to do, like fight off germs and be strong.

But if you don't eat enough of those foods with vitamins, or if you don't absorb them properly, then you can end up with a problem called a vitamin deficiency. That means your body doesn't have enough of a certain vitamin, and that can make you feel sick or weak.

There are lots of different vitamins that your body needs, like vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin D. They each do different things in your body, so if you don't have enough of one kind of vitamin, you might have some specific symptoms.

For example, if you don't get enough vitamin C in your diet, which is usually found in fruits like oranges and lemons, you might get scurvy. That can make you feel really tired and weak, and your skin might start to look funny.

So it's important to eat a healthy, balanced diet so that you get all the different vitamins your body needs to stay strong and healthy!
