VoIP

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. It is a way of sending and receiving phone calls over the Internet instead of through a regular telephone line. Think of it like Skype or Facetime but for regular phone calls. To use VoIP, you need a computer, smartphone, or other device with an Internet connection. The sound is converted into a special type of digital data called "packets" which travel over the same types of networks used to send emails and browse the web. When the packets reach the other person, they are converted back into normal sound. This makes it possible to make and receive phone calls from anywhere with an Internet connection.
