Voice acting

You know how sometimes you like to pretend to be someone else and use different voices? Well, voice acting is like that! But, instead of playing pretend, people get paid to use their voices to become different characters for movies, TV shows, video games, and more.

The voice actor uses their voice to bring the character to life. They have to change the sound of their voice, their accent, and their tone to make it sound like the character. They also have to act out what the character is doing, even though you can't see them, so it sounds like they are really in the scene.

Sometimes, voice actors also get to sing, do silly voices, or even make sound effects like explosions. And, if they're really good, they can create a bunch of different character voices all on their own!

So, next time you're watching your favorite cartoon or playing a cool video game, remember that the voices you hear aren't real people, but are actually incredibly talented voice actors making the characters come to life with their voices.
