Wall of Jericho (neolithic)

So imagine a big, big wall made out of rocks, almost as tall as a mountain. It was built a really, really long time ago, by people who lived a very, very long time ago. This wall is called the Wall of Jericho, and it's from something called the Neolithic period.

The wall was built around a city called Jericho, which was a pretty important place back then. People lived inside the city and the wall helped keep them safe from things like wild animals or other people who might want to hurt them. The wall was really important because the people who built it didn't have any machines or big tools like we do now.

Instead, they used their own hands and a few simple tools to move and stack the big rocks that make up the wall. It must have taken them a really long time to build it, but they did it because they knew how important it was to keep themselves safe.

So, even though the Wall of Jericho is just a bunch of rocks, it's really important because it shows how smart and brave the people who lived a long, long time ago were.
