ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wall-plug efficiency

You know how you have to plug in your toys or electronics to make them work? Well, when you do that, the electricity that comes out of the wall goes into your toy or electronic and helps it work. But not all of the electricity that comes out of the wall actually goes into your toy or electronic. Some of it gets lost or wasted along the way.

Wall-plug efficiency is a way to measure how much of the electricity that comes out of the wall actually goes into your toy or electronic and helps it work. It's kind of like measuring how much water you can drink out of a cup without spilling any.

A high wall-plug efficiency means that most of the electricity that comes out of the wall is going into your toy or electronic and helping it work. A low wall-plug efficiency means that a lot of the electricity is getting lost or wasted along the way and not actually helping your toy or electronic work very well.

So, when you're looking for a new toy or electronic, you might want to check its wall-plug efficiency to make sure you're getting something that will work really well and use electricity efficiently.
