Water cycle

The water cycle is like a big recycling machine! The sun heats up water in oceans, lakes, and rivers and turns it into water vapor (a kind of gas). The water vapor rises up into the sky and makes clouds. Then the clouds move around, and when they get to a cold place, it rains or snows and the water vapor changes back into liquid water. The rain and snow fall back down into the oceans, lakes, and rivers, and the cycle starts all over again!
