Wave equation

The wave equation is a mathematical equation used in physics to explain how waves move. Imagine a wave moving on a string like a wave in an ocean. The wave equation helps us understand how the wave moves and changes its shape. When the wave starts at one end of the string, it wiggles and moves down to the other end. As it moves, its shape changes and it gets bigger or smaller depending on how much energy is in it. The wave equation tells us how this happens!
