Okay kiddo, today we're going to talk about something called the weakened weak form. Are you ready?
So, to understand the weakened weak form, we need to first know what the weak form is. The weak form is a thing we use in language when we say a word without using as much energy. For example, when we say "potato", we usually make the "t" sound a little soft, instead of saying it really hard like "potayto".
Now, the weakened weak form is when we use even less energy when we say the weak form of a word. So instead of saying "potato" with a soft "t", we might say "pado" with an even softer "t".
This happens because our muscles get tired if we use the same amount of energy all the time. So we naturally start to use less energy, which can change the way our words sound.
The weakened weak form can be hard to understand sometimes, especially if you're learning a new language. But with practice and listening carefully, you'll eventually get the hang of it!
