ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Web-based slideshow

A web-based slideshow is like taking a bunch of pictures, putting them in a special folder, and then showing them one after another on a computer screen. It's like a storybook that you can flip through, except instead of paper pages, you're looking at pictures on a screen.

Sometimes these slideshows are used to show off pictures from a party or vacation, or to teach somebody something. You can put text and other stuff on the screen as well to explain what's going on in the pictures.

On the internet, you don't have to make your own slideshow from scratch. Lots of websites let you upload your pictures and they'll help you make a slideshow. Then, you can share the link to your slideshow with your friends and family, and they can see your pictures too. It's like showing your photo album to everyone, but without having to pass it around!
