Western imperialism in Asia

Western imperialism in Asia is when countries from Europe, like England and France, tried to control and influence countries in Asia, like India and China. Europe was much stronger than the countries in Asia and so they used their power to take over lands, trade, and resources in Asia. They made laws and solved problems in parts of Asia that Europe thought was best. Some people in Asia thought this was wrong because they wanted to make their own decisions. As a result, many Asian nations are still trying to gain independence and get rid of this imperialistic rule.
