ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wildlife trade

Wildlife trade is when people buy and sell animals, plants and other parts of them (like shells, fur, teeth, horns, etc). It is a way for people to get money by selling animals and plants they have caught or collected. This trade is not always legal and can often have negative effects on the wildlife. For example, if a certain animal is taken away from its home in the wild, it can have a hard time finding food or staying safe, so it might not survive. In addition, some animals and plants that are sold or traded can spread diseases to other animals or even people.
