Wind surfing

Wind surfing is like riding a surfboard with a big, colourful sail attached to it. The wind pushes the sail and the person on the board can use their body to control where they go.

When we go to the beach, we might see some people playing in the waves. Some of these people might have a special surfboard with a sail on it, and they might be holding something that looks like a long stick with a handle on it. This is wind surfing!

The sail is really important because it catches the wind and makes the board move. Wind surfers use their body weight to control the sail and the board. They lean one way to turn the board and the sail, and the wind helps them pick up speed.

Wind surfing can be a fun and exciting thing to do, but it also requires a lot of practice and skill. People need to learn how to balance on the board and how to handle the sail in different wind conditions. It's important to wear a life jacket and learn from a qualified instructor before trying it on your own.
