Wingtip vortices

Wingtip Vortices are something that happens to airplanes when they fly. When an airplane moves, it is like a boat moving on water. As the wings of the airplane move through the air, the air around it swirls around in circles, kind of like water going around the wake of a boat. These swirling circles of air are called Wingtip Vortices, and they can be strong enough to make other planes shake if they fly too close!
