Wintel

Wintel is a combination of two things - Windows and Intel. Windows is an operating system (like the software that runs on computers) made by Microsoft. Intel is a company that makes the computer chips or processors (also known as CPUs) that power most computers. So, when you hear someone talking about Wintel, they are talking about computers and other devices that use Windows and Intel processors.
