Women in comedy

Okay kiddo, you know how sometimes people tell jokes and try to make us laugh? Well, some people, including women, really like doing that too and they're called comedians!

Now, a long time ago, people thought it wasn't very funny when women told jokes. They thought only men could be funny. But guess what? That's not true! Women can be very funny too.

So, some really brave women started doing comedy anyway, even though it was harder for them to get people to listen. And guess what else? People started realizing that women can be hilarious!

Now, there are lots of funny women doing comedy, like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Ellen DeGeneres. And they're making lots of people laugh and having a great time!
