Wood pellets

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen how logs are used to make fire in a fireplace? Wood pellets are kind of like small, compressed logs that are made from wood shavings and sawdust.

When trees are cut down and made into wood products like furniture, there are leftover wood pieces that cannot be used. These leftover pieces can be turned into wood pellets. The wood is first ground up into sawdust and wood shavings. It is then compressed with high pressure and heat, without any glue or chemicals added.

Wood pellets are commonly used as a type of fuel for heating homes, and sometimes for cooking or grilling. The pellets are loaded into a special stove or furnace designed to burn them efficiently. The heat from burning the pellets is used to warm up a house or cook food.

One great thing about wood pellets is that they produce much less pollution than burning traditional wood logs. They are also more convenient to store and transport because they are small and uniform in size. Plus, using wood pellets is a good way to help the environment by using leftover wood instead of throwing it away.

So, that's what wood pellets are! Just remember, they're like tiny logs made from wood scraps that can be used for heating and cooking.
