World Turtle

A world turtle is an idea from some ancient cultures. In these cultures, it was said that the earth was carried on the back of a giant turtle. The turtle swam around in an endless sea and kept the Earth safe. People thought that the world turtle was a good way to explain why the Earth seemed so stable and strong.
