A wrapped distribution is when a number, like a temperature, has a maximum and a minimum value. For example, if the temperature in a room can only range between 0 and 100 degrees Celsius, then these two values of 0 and 100 are the maximum and the minimum for that temperature. This kind of temperature is a wrapped distribution, because when the temperature reaches the maximum or minimum, it wraps around and starts again from the other end. So if the temperature was 100 degrees Celsius, then it would wrap around to 0 degrees Celsius.
