Wu (state)

Okay kiddo, today we're gonna talk about a place called the Wu State.

So, a long long time ago there was a big country in China called Zhou. Just like how we have many states in America like California or Texas, the Zhou country had different parts called "states".

One of these states was called "Wu". Wu was in the south part of China, and the people who lived there were really good at things like fishing and making boats. They also had a really strong army, which means they were good at fighting.

But, there was another state called Chu that was right next to Wu, and they were always trying to take over Wu's land. So, the rulers of Wu had to be really smart and make good decisions to make sure their people were safe and their land was protected.

Wu had some really cool leaders too. One of them was named Sun Tzu, and he wrote a famous book called "The Art of War" which is all about how to be a good fighter and win battles.

Eventually, Wu was conquered by another state, but it was an important part of Chinese history and we can still learn a lot from it today!
