ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

XPDL

XPdL stands for XML Process Definition Language. It is a way of describing the steps, or "processes," needed to get a certain job done. Essentially, XPdL is a type of computer language that helps technology do its job. Think of it like the instructions a remote control gives a TV: the remote control sends out a signal and the TV follows the instructions to do something, like change the channel. XPdL does the same thing, but instead of giving instructions to a TV, it gives instructions to computers, telling them what to do.
