Xenharmonic music is like playing with blocks, but instead of using the same old square blocks every time, we get to use different shapes and sizes of blocks to make cool music sounds!
In normal music, we play with 12 blocks, which are called notes. They go in order from A to G, and then start over again. We use these 12 blocks to make all kinds of different songs and sounds.
But in xenharmonic music, we don't have to stick to just those 12 blocks. We can use all kinds of different shapes and sizes of blocks to make different music sounds. We can use blocks that are in between the regular notes, or we can use blocks that are even smaller or bigger than the regular notes.
The cool thing about playing with different blocks is that it gives us a chance to make new and different sounds that we wouldn't be able to make with just the regular 12 notes. It's like drawing with different colors or painting with different brushes.
So, when we listen to xenharmonic music, we might hear sounds that we're not used to hearing in regular music. But that's what makes it so special and interesting! We get to explore new and different music sounds by playing with different blocks.
