ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Yaylak

Yaylak is when farmers in some parts of the world take their animals, like cows or sheep, from their homes in the valleys up to the mountains during the summer months. This is because in the mountains there is lots of fresh grass for the animals to eat, and the weather is cooler, which helps the animals produce better milk and meat.

So the farmer and the animals pack up all their things and walk up the mountain to live there for a few months. They make a little home up in the mountains where the farmer can take care of the animals and make sure they have everything they need. They also make sure to take care of any baby animals that are born during this time.

It's like going on a summer vacation for the animals, and it helps the farmers provide the best care for them.
