Zaï

Zaï is a type of farming method used in Africa. It involves digging small pits in the ground and then filling them with stones and organic matter. The pits help trap moisture and retain nutrients from the top soil, allowing plants to grow and making them easier to care for. Zaï can help improve soil fertility, increase crop yields and reduce soil erosion. It is a traditional farming method used by African farmers for centuries for growing crops such as millet, sorghum and groundnuts.
