Mound

A mound is like a little hill made out of dirt or mud. It can be found outside in your backyard or in a park. Sometimes, you may see ants or other bugs crawling on it because they like to make their homes in the mound. People who play baseball also use a mound as a special place to throw the ball from. They stand on top of the mound and throw the ball to someone else to try and make them miss it. So, think of a mound like a small hill where animals live and people play sports.
