ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Absolute time and space

Absolute time and space are two ideas in physics that explain how the universe works. Time and space are linked, which means that events that happen in the universe happen at a certain point in both absolute time and absolute space.

Absolute time means that time passes the same all over the universe, no matter where you are. It's like a giant clock that ticks the same everywhere, no matter what.

Absolute space means that every single point in the universe is its own unique place, and that it has its own unique geography. That means that no two places in the universe look exactly the same, not even if they're really far away from each other.
