ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Acclimatisation

Acclimatization is when your body gets used to a new environment or climate. When you go to a new place, your body has to adapt to the changes in temperature, air pressure, and other things around you so that you can feel comfortable and stay healthy. For example, if you go from a warm place to a cold place, your body needs time to adjust to the lower temperature. This is why you might feel cold at first, but after a while, you start to feel more comfortable. Your body makes changes to help you cope with the new environment, including producing more or less of certain substances like sweat or urine, and changing how much water you drink. Acclimatisation is an important part of staying healthy when you are traveling or moving to a new place, so be patient and give your body the time it needs to adjust!
