Action research

Action research is a research method that involves doing research in a particular place. For example, if a school wanted to know how to make students more successful, they could do an action research project. They might look at student test scores and study the environment at the school. They would talk to students, teachers, and parents to try to find out what factors might make students learn better. They might then create a plan to try out different strategies at the school and measure how successful these strategies are. By using action research, the school can find out what works best for their students, and then use those strategies to help all the students learn better.
