Ad hoc hypothesis is an idea that is suggested to explain something without providing any evidence for it. It's like if you think something is true without any proof. For example, let's say you think that the moon is made of cheese, but you don't have any evidence or proof that it's true. That would be an ad hoc hypothesis.
