Aerosan

An Aerosan is like a very special type of sled that can run on snow and ice. It's basically a small airplane without wings that can glide over snow and ice. Instead of wheels or runners that sleds use, it has a big fan on the back that blows air really fast to move it forward.

It was mainly used during World War II for military purposes as it was fast and efficient transportation in cold and snowy areas. It does not go in the air like a plane. It just skims over frozen ground with the help of the powerful engine.

Aerosans were very useful for delivering food, medical supplies and other important things to soldiers who were fighting in snowy areas. Today, people still use aerosans for racing, recreation and transportation in very cold and snowy areas.
