Agent based modeling

Agent based modeling (ABM) is a way of studying how groups of people and things interact with each other. It's like a computer game where each person or thing (we call them "agents") has their own rules and behavior. We use ABM to simulate how these agents interact with each other. For example, we can use it to study how a forest fire might spread or how people might interact in a city.
