Emergence

Emergence is a way for new things to be created when many small parts come together. It's like when a bunch of Lego blocks are put together to make something, like a car or a house. All the Lego blocks are the small parts and the car or house is the new thing that's created. Another example is when all the people in a city work together to make the city a better place. All the people are the small parts and a better city is the new thing that's created.
