Complex adaptive system

Complex adaptive systems are things that can change and adapt. They usually have a lot of parts and they can all interact together in different ways. For example, a city is a complex adaptive system. It has buildings, roads, people, and lots of other things. All of the different parts interact together in different ways. This means that when something changes in the city, like someone builds a new building, the rest of the city changes too. It has to adapt to the new building.
