Ages of consent in Europe

Ok kiddo, you know how there are rules that people have to follow? Well, one of those rules is about when it's ok for someone to have a special kind of hug or kiss or other intimate actions with someone else. In Europe, this rule is called the "age of consent."

The age of consent is different in each country, so it can be a little confusing. Some countries say that you have to be at least 14 years old to have any kind of intimate contact with someone else, while other countries say you have to be at least 16 or 18 years old.

But why does it matter how old someone is? Well, we want to make sure that people who are too young aren't being taken advantage of or forced into doing things they don't want to do. It's important that people are ready and willing to do intimate things with someone else and they understand what it means to do so.

So remember, even though the age of consent is different in every country, it's there to help protect people and make sure no one is being hurt or taken advantage of.
