Aircraft boneyard

Okay kiddo, so sometimes airplanes get old or they don't get used anymore. When that happens, they need to be stored somewhere because they can't just stay in the air forever. That's where an aircraft boneyard comes in!

An aircraft boneyard is a big place, usually in a desert where they put all the old planes that are not being used anymore. It looks like a huge parking lot, but with lots and lots of planes lined up in rows.

The boneyard is a place where they can keep the planes safe from bad weather, like storms or hurricanes. They also make sure that the planes are not damaged by the sun, which can be really hot in the desert.

Sometimes, the planes at the boneyard aren't actually useless. They might have parts that can be reused to fix other planes that are still flying. So, people who work at the boneyard take apart the planes and save the parts that can be used again.

Even though the planes at the boneyard might not be flying anymore, they still serve an important purpose in keeping other planes in the air.
