Aircraft noise pollution

Okay kiddo, you know when a big airplane flies over your head and it makes a loud noise? Well, that noise is called aircraft noise.

Sometimes when lots of airplanes fly over the same place over and over again, it can make people who live in those places feel upset. That's because the sound of the airplanes can be really loud and annoying.

This noise can cause a lot of problems such as making it harder to sleep, concentrate or even hear someone speaking. It can also make animals feel scared or confused. That's why we call it aircraft noise pollution because it is like littering sound in the air.

Luckily, there are some things we can do to stop airplane noise from being so loud. For example, airplane manufacturers can make planes with quieter engines. Air traffic controllers can also help make sure planes fly over quieter areas and don't fly too low.

Some airports also have special noise regulations and work together with the communities nearby to try and reduce the noise. And sometimes, people who live near airports can make changes to their homes to try to block out some of the noise.

So, while we can't make airplanes completely silent, we can work together to reduce aircraft noise pollution and make life a bit quieter for everyone.
