Ancestor

An ancestor is someone who is related to you but who came before you in your family tree. They might be your grandparents, great-grandparents, or even people who lived a long, long time ago and you may have never met. They are like the grown-ups you might know, but they are much much much much much older than you! They may not be alive now, but you can learn about them from stories and pictures that your family might have. Your ancestors are important because they helped make your family who they are today!
