Animal law

Animal law is an area of law that makes sure animals are treated fairly. This area of law covers a lot of different things, like laws about animals in zoos, laws about animals used in research, and laws about animals in pet stores. But it also covers things like laws about animal cruelty and laws about animals used for entertainment. Some of these laws try to make sure animals are given enough food and proper medical care. Other laws try to make sure that animals aren't used for unnecessarily cruel things, like circuses or dog-fighting.
