Animals in culture

Animals have been a really important part of culture for a long, long time. You know how a lot of people have favorite stuffed animals or toys they like to play with and cuddle? That's kind of like how animals have become special to different groups of people over time.

Sometimes, people have used animals in their stories to help teach important lessons. For example, the story of "The Tortoise and the Hare" is about how it's important to not give up, even if you're not as fast as someone else.

Different animals mean different things to different cultures. For example, in some cultures, the lion is a symbol of bravery, while in others, the monkey is seen as smart and mischievous.

People have also used animals to make art, like paintings and sculptures. These works of art might show animals that are important in that culture or have special meanings.

Finally, animals have also been really important to people for practical reasons. For example, some cultures have used horses to help them travel long distances, while others have used cows for their milk and meat.
