Antitrust

Antitrust is a set of laws and regulations that help make sure that companies in an industry don't do things that will hurt competition and make it harder for other companies to compete. Antitrust laws make sure that companies can't sign agreements that limit the amount of competition, like agreeing to not sell a product for a certain price or not compete in a certain region. They also make sure that companies can't do things that can give them an unfair advantage, like buying up all of the resources they need to make their product while stopping other companies from getting the same resources. This helps create a level playing field and stop companies from using unfair tactics to make more money.
