ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Aracha

Okay little one, have you ever heard of green tea? It's a yummy drink that some people like to have. Well, aracha is actually the green tea leaves before they are processed to make tea.

You see, when the tea leaves are picked from the plant, they're still kind of dirty and have some little twigs and stuff mixed in with them. Aracha is just the tea leaves the way they are straight from the plant with all the little extra bits still attached.

Now, some people like to drink aracha as a type of tea, but most of the time it's actually used to make other types of green tea. The leaves are processed by being toasted, rolled, dried, and sometimes separated from their little twigs before they become the green tea we're more used to.

So, long story short, aracha is just green tea leaves before they are made into tea. It's yummy too!
