Arbitration

Arbitration is a way to settle a disagreement between two people or groups without going to court. It's like having a little private court where the people involved can talk to each other, and an impartial third person (called an arbitrator) listens to both sides and then makes a decision. The arbitrator's decision is usually legally binding, so both people or groups must follow it.
