Argument from beauty

An argument from beauty is an idea that sometimes people use to help them make decisions or have feelings about things. Imagine that you are shopping for a dress. You find two dresses and you like them both - one is bright blue and the other is plain gray. With an argument from beauty, you would choose the bright blue dress because you think it is more beautiful and it makes you feel happier. Similarly, you might take a hike in a nature reserve because you think the plants and trees are more beautiful than staying at home or going somewhere else. In other words, an argument from beauty is when you decide to do something or feel a certain way because of how pretty or nice it looks.
