Theory of everything

A theory of everything (sometimes called a TOE or a "final theory") is a theory in physics which explains all the fundamental particles and forces that exist, and how they all fit together. It would be like a "master theory" of the universe, telling us how everything is connected and works. Scientists have yet to discover a theory of everything, but they hope that it will help them better understand how the universe works.
