Asphaltene

Asphaltene is a big word that describes tiny things that are in some liquids like oil. These tiny things are like little pieces of Lego that are stuck together really tightly, and they make the liquid thicker and harder to move around.

Just like how it's hard to move a pile of Lego blocks that are all stuck together, it's hard to move liquids that have a lot of asphaltene in them. This can cause problems for things like pipelines or engines that use these liquids because they can get stuck and not work the way they should.

Scientists are still trying to understand how asphaltene works, but they think that it's made up of different parts that attract each other and stick together. Kind of like how magnets attract and stick together.

So, in summary, asphaltene is tiny little Lego-like things that make liquids thicker and harder to move around. Scientists are still trying to figure out all the details of how it works.
