Assortative mating

Assortative mating is when two people who are similar in some way are attracted to each other. Think of it like a puzzle: when one piece of the puzzle looks like another piece, they fit together nicely. This is the same with humans: two people who share similar hobbies, beliefs, or physical characteristics often find each other attractive. This is called assortative mating.
